Hey Everyone, this post is a little different from the usual blog post. I’m making this post to let everyone know that I’m releasing my first novel! Some of you might have noticed that it’s been a while since I last posted, and there are a few reasons for that. Work has been getting busier, travel has been more frequent, and more and more I find myself at the end of the day with no time or energy to write. But in those infrequent moments where I have a few free hours, I find myself transported to a different world, one quite similar to ours, but in a way more magical.
The Stars in Her Eyes is, put simply, a story of an astronaut torn between the love of his job, the love for his girlfriend. Brighu has dreamt of being an astronaut since he was a little boy. He would look up at the sky on clear nights with love in his eyes, a love for an undiscovered universe, and a love for the endless possibilities it may hold. As he begins working towards his dreams, he finds that the world he lives in is difficult, and his dreams are challenging. He travels constantly to the International space station, working long hours in metal boxes floating in nothing. But there is absolutely nothing else he would rather do. And then he meets Mrida, and everything changes. Brighu gets an offer to visit a star hundreds of lightyears away out near the very edge of the galaxy, something he’s wanted to do for as long as he can remember, but he can’t leave his life behind. The Stars in Her Eyes is a love story about this battle between Brighu’s life long dreams of exploring the universe, and the new world of possibilities he has found with Mrida.
The Stars in Her Eyes is the first time I’ve really dedicated myself to creating a complete story, and it was one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences of this year. I really enjoyed writing this book, and I am truly in love with this story. My only hope is that some of you might fall in love with this story as well.
The Stars in Her Eyes will be released on Amazon as a paperback (!!) and kindle on October 1st, 2024. I’ll be posting a lot more about it in the coming weeks so stay tuned!
Thank you to everyone who follows the blog and supports this dream of mine, you guys are amazing! I’ll catch y’all in the next one 🙂
